About SCALE Central & Eastern Europe 2026

SCALE Central & Eastern Europe is the SCALE Rentals show for the region, held in Sofia. The first edition ran as SCALE Eastern Europe on 28 February 2025; the 2026 edition on 27 March took the wider name and filled a day at the National Palace of Culture with 23 speakers across 25 sessions on four tracks, a few hundred property managers, Shelly and Hostify as headline sponsors and a strong focus on Bulgaria’s short-term rental rules. As at every SCALE show, tickets go to operators only.

Our panel

Miro joined the main-stage panel “From reactive to strategic: how top operators manage revenue and business data”, moderated by Richard Vaughton of Yes Consulting, alongside Alessandro Poncini of PriceLabs and Rodrigo Lopez of Beyond. The premise: most operators manage revenue by reacting to what has already happened, and the panel was about what a real revenue and data strategy looks like in practice. The questions Richard put to the three of us:

  • Is dynamic pricing a strategy, or reactive automation dressed up as intelligence?
  • If you had to reduce revenue management to one leading and one lagging KPI, which would they be?
  • Most operators don’t know their own cost base, so how can they price properly?
  • What is the simplest check every operator should run tomorrow on their pricing setup?
  • Are OTAs now controlling pricing indirectly, through discounts, visibility algorithms and packaging?
  • Does an operator need a revenue manager, or better use of the tools they already have?
  • Is the future ten dashboards, or a co-pilot that sits on top of your data and suggests actions?

Miro’s part was the data view of the platforms’ algorithms: why a well-set price and a visible offer are no longer enough on Booking.com and Airbnb, and what the operators ranking at the top of their markets do about it.

What else we did

Between sessions we met operators from Bulgaria and the wider region, most of them running portfolios across Sofia, the coast and the mountain resorts, and showed what the revenue agent does on a live Booking.com listing. If you’d like the same look at your own portfolio, the Booking.com Health Score is free.
